Kitchen ARTS for a Birthday BASH! ;D

My son turned 13 on Friday the 13th!!
On Saturday we had a BIG family bash for him.
Our daughter made and decorated a guitar cake for
him that was adorable!! She really did a great job.

There were a LOT of people, though and one was not going to cut it; so I was not off the hook. Not too long ago I got a wonderful recipe from Amy at The Family Trifecta and she let me share it. I had made it when I got the recipe, and the boys loved it so much they'd been bugging me to make it again. So for his big BASH, I gave in and crafted up this beautifully delicious cake!! It was a BIG HIT!! (Thanks again AMY!)

The challenge here is "In the Kitchen"

This one's challenge is Arts and crafts
Does getting CRAFTY in the kitchen count?? LOL!!

I'll accept getting crafty in the kitchen! I'm now following this blog as well if you're going to be adding your photos for photo challenges here.

OOPS!! I guess this week for YOU CAPTURE is Everyday Things and IN THE KITCHEN is next one. How about the cake is everyday things... My boys would LIKE it to be... In a bakery it is... My daughter works at a bakery... LOL!!

Thanks for following me here, Ashley!! I figured it would make things not so busy over there. ;D I'm glad the cake works for crafty, too. It has seedless blackberry jam between the layers, chocolate ganache poured over the devil's chocolate layers, white chocolate shredded all over it, as well as raspberries and blackberries STRATEGICALLY/artfully placed! LOL!! YUM!!
Dan & Gibnitty: Thanks!! I felt like it was crafty... and DELICIOUS!!
